Cambodian Minister of Tourism and Chinese Dignitary Host Cultural Event at Angkor

PHNOM PENH, April 24, 2024 — This morning, Sok Sokken, the Cambodian Minister of Tourism, and Sun Shougang, Deputy Governor of Henan Province, presided over the "When Shaolin Meets Bokator At Angkor" event at the northern precinct of Bayon Temple.

The cultural showcase, held on April 24, 2024, featured an engaging blend of martial arts, combining Cambodia's traditional Bokator with China's Shaolin. The event is part of a broader initiative to enhance tourism cooperation between Siem Reap Province and Henan Province. It also serves to celebrate the "Visit Siem Reap 2024" campaign and the "China-Cambodia People and People Exchange Year 2024," further cementing the cultural and touristic ties between the two regions.

By hosting this event, both regions aim to highlight their rich martial arts traditions while promoting international cultural exchange and boosting tourism.
